First off, I am a huge gears of war fan and have always been :). I know these things have been said many times but I am here to reinforce them.

1. How come the shotgun is so inconsistent? How come when i shoot someone from 2 feet away they don't even go down but sometimes when i shoot someone from 15 yards away they go down in one shot?

2. Grenade tagging is still the easiest nubbest thing in the game...

3. How come I can get doubled or even trippled stunned without doing anything about it or even having time to roll 5 feet away...

4. Planting grenades on walls..There needs to be some way to see them easier...I'm chasing someone and they just happen to run by a grenade someone planted and I die...This is fair. Grenade AOE damage is also a problem and inconsistent.

The shotgun is pretty consistent... when you aim. You can't expect a shotgun which spreads fire to land every bullet all the time. I know this is still a game but if you look at Gears 2 shotty in comparison with Gears 1 shotty it is actually better. Instead of one shot and a huge meatsplosion kill in Gears 1 it actually takes a bit of strategy (or a two piece) to get a kill with the shotty in Gears 2.

I hate the Gears 2 Shotty, it feels like the bullets are hitting the ground, and blind firing has little accuracy.

The lag is probably what's ruining the shotty not the lack of power or anything.

No. Melee doesn't always work. There has been and will be a prevalent connectivity issue. If someone is roadie running, they will not experience the rock back animation from the stunning blow, but as soon as they pop out of roadie run position and melee you, you will be stunned and therefore two pieced. SURE I'm sure you're saying, "Just flick the right trigger and blast him before he can blast you, you'll surely get the kill after you somplete the stun from the melee..." Yeah... That would be nice, if the blind fire shotty actually went out of your gun, and not out of your dick into the floor. I've hit somebody first before, then they hit JUST after me, they don't get stunned, but I do. Why on earth hasn't Epic figured out how to create a solid connection throughout their servers? Every other shooter seems to have mastered this ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY feature. A games online play is only as good as the connection it holds.

Gears 1 had problems too they can't fix everything and there isn't like a one time fix everything patch. They can fix the matchmaking and the connection issues but eventually you'll learn to deal with the in game problems.

If we "learn to deal with the game problems", then organizations like Epic will continue to released flawed product. The longer we see it as acceptable, then the longer it will be "acceptable".
