Ok so everytime I get in one of these new battles, I find that after it's over I am crouching, hunched over my controller like a predator over its prey. I throw the controller over my head and just push that stupid red B button as fast as I possibly can. Then, when it's over, the game seems so calm all of the sudden. Do you like this new element in Gears 2? What strategy do you impliment? Do you find yourself winning or loosing most of these?

This is a completely archaeic, mindless, ancient way of completing a task. Button mashing?! Come on... Has history proven anything to Epic? What is the number one thing that people hate about Fighters? The fact that any average Joe can pick up the controller and smash away at every button on it to defeat you, EVEN THOUGH you've spent countless hours mastering difficult combos. The same applies here.

Why didn't they impliment a duel system? Sort of comparable to the special technique function with the Dragonball Z Fighters? Personally I think that it doesn't even matter how fast or hard you smash the button, it is just a big disguise to make you think you are influencing the outcome. It is still randomized, it is still a horrible concept for a shooter, and it is still going to be loved by the kids who don't want to shoot bullets.

Its definetely not randomized, but regardless...why are you using a lancer if you like shooting so much? Try the hamemrburst and get your trigger finger quick...you will fall in love with it. Plus if you play on gamebattles or most online ladders they dont let you use the lancer...completely different game that takes ALOT of thinking and skill, no noobs running at you with a revved up saw.

Yeah... I don't use the lancer, except in objective games because it is a necessity. Hammerburst FTW. But, when you are experiencing the oh so familiar lag problem, the Hammer burst takes two whole clips to down somebody. At that point, they're in your face with a chainsaw revving.

I would love Game Battles. I need to find a team.

Agreed, i can hit that button fast and i do mean fast and my outcome is like 60/40 crap those who beat me must have pump action fingers. As for the kids part, no crap. Out of around 8 games i must encounter a 5v1 and the whole team has chased me with the chainsaw and its pratically impossible to do anything about it, as soon as you turn around to either chainsaw duel him or do something with the shotty they chainsaw you, kinda suck's when you know you have lost 5 minutes before you die from running around the map trying to get away and fail becuase they keep up to easy.
