Well the weapon slide is going to be almost impossible to fix I think... Network latency for off-host players means the "Pickup Weapon" and "Melee" actions are executed at the exact same time. The only way I can see fixing it would be to prevent player input from the controller during a melee swing, but this would also mean you stop dead in your tracks regardless of your location whenever you melee'd someone. This would also prevent two-piecing though.. hmm... Haha I jest [biggrin.gif] there's no way they would do that.

Maybe I'm wrong, though, and after so much time they were able to get a working fix for it!

Well i agree with you on the crabwalk Chronos but not the weaponslide.
I don't really use it that often but if im outnumbered or a airstrike of smoke grenades is heading my way then i use the weaponslide to evade it and be on my way.
I see how it can be an annoying thing but its useful thing to use that you should take into consideration.

I think weapon Slide isint that much of a big deal even if you play a clan battler on Gamebattles / Mlg and such they give you and most time allow Weapon Slide. do to it only really doing anyting to you and the weapon and not harming the other player in anyway and in gears 2 you can get the best weapon slide done with a hammerburst, this means you will have less , people running around with there chainsaw comming at you across the map , due to when you shoot some one running at you with the chainsaw they dont get stunned like in gears 1 wich i hope they put back in gears 2. Weaponsliding encourages poor playstyles and can give someone an upperhand when he shouldn't be given one. It's far too easy for some nublet to run up, weaponslide a boomshot (without any chance of anyone stopping him) and then become unstoppable (since the boomshot is so easy to use, it's like a guaranteed 3 kills unless they drop the ball).

If you play the game properly, you need to secure an area to get a weapon because picking up a more powerful weapon is supposed to leave you vulnerable.
